Rick Ahmann is the property and casualty principal of Ahmann-Martin, where he heads the commercial insurance and risk management division. In addition to his business experience, Rick serves the community in a variety of positions. These include his current membership in the Minneapolis Breakfast Club, the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce and the Edina Chamber of Commerce. He has held positions as the secretary/treasurer of the Richfield Optimist Club and as the precinct chair for the Neighbor-to-Neighbor program. Rick’s commitment to community service is matched by his vast contribution to the insurance industry. He previously led the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Minnesota (IIABM) as its regional director, as chairman of its budget committee and as a member of the IIABM board of directors. Rick currently serves on the SFM Agency Advisory Committee. To honor his long-standing career in the insurance business, Rick was named Minnesota Independent Insurance Agent of the Year in 1997.
Rick earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and psychology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He has continued his study of the insurance business at the University of Minnesota as well as in courses offered through CIC, CPCU and other industry organizations.
